The St. James has partnered with four of the mid-Atlantic region’s premier NCAA division one soccer programs to host the 2023 Spring College Cup, a spring women’s collegiate soccer tournament on The St. James campus.

This special event will provide participating teams with three full-sided matches, each forty-five minutes in length, with the top two teams advancing to a championship Cup final. All aspects of the TSJ 2023 Spring College Cup will be open to the public on a ticketed basis and made available through an online video stream subscription service through thestjames.live portal. Cup matches will be played in The St. James Field House, which features a FIFA regulation pitch, offers separate locker rooms for the home and visiting teams, a state-of-the art athletic training suite, full-service restaurant, and indoor spectator seating for up to 3,000 guests.

The St. James 2023 Spring College Cup will be held in The St. James Field House on Sunday, April 2, 2023, between the hours of 12:00-7:00PM. The St. James is located off of Backlick Road in the Springfield Industrial Park area at 6850 Industrial Road, Springfield, Virginia 22151.

EVENT FORMAT

· 11v11 format, 45:00 round robin matches, no halftime, overtime, or penalty kicks

a. Each participating team will play (3) round robin matches during the competition. The 1st and 2nd place teams will play a Cup Final to determine the TSJ 2023 Spring College Cup Champion.

b. NISOA rules and certified referees will apply for all Cup matches.

c. Referees will keep the official time on the field and adjust accordingly for injury time.
